King's Wharf Theatre

Nestled within Discovery Harbour on the shores of Georgian Bay in Penetanguishene, the King's Wharf Theatre is flanked by majestic tall ships and the historic buildings of a 19th century British naval and military base.

Only a 40-minute drive from Barrie and Orillia, the picturesque area offers myriad attractions to explore, including such treasures as Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

While in the area, explore the communities of Penetanguishene and Midland, which offer unique shops and dining establishments.

When visiting the King's Wharf Theatre, patrons can skip the line at intermission and pre-order their refreshments upon arrival. They will be waiting at a pre-determined spot, ready for enjoyment.

  • Bus parking is available in the gravel portion of the theatre parking lot.
  • Overnight parking is not permitted in the theatre parking lot.

The King's Wharf Theatre is proud to be a completely accessible venue. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodation to patrons with disabilities through our Customer Service Policy.

The King's Wharf Theatre currently recognizes both the CNIB Card and the Access 2 Entertainment Card. Patrons with disabilities presenting valid cards from one of these two programs will be provided with a complimentary ticket for their support person, if requested.

The theatre has dedicated seating areas to accommodate patrons with disabilities. Service animals and support persons are always welcome. Complimentary infrared headsets for the hearing impaired are available at the box office prior to the performance.

The King's Wharf Theatre is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with special seating locations. Please call our box office toll free to reserve wheelchair accessible seats at 1-855-372-9866. Patrons using wheelchairs are requested to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance. Complimentary hearing assist devices and booster seats for children are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Public Access Automatic External Defibrillators are located in the lobby of each facility.

Feedback about the delivery of services to persons with disabilities is welcomed, as it may identify areas that require change and assist in continuous service improvement. Such feedback may be given by telephone, in person, in writing, or electronically by email, on diskette, or otherwise. The King's Wharf Theatre will make best efforts to provide a response in the same format in which the feedback was received.

Where possible, feedback will be addressed immediately. Some feedback may, however, require more effort to address and may need to be reviewed before any action is taken. A response will be given within 21 working days.
